How to find us:
The course will start promptly at the advertised time.
Please arrive 20 mins before the start time in order to enjoy refreshments and to complete the visitors health questionnaire.
Health and Safety:
The cooking lessons are undertaken in a food production environment. On your arrival, you will be asked to complete a compulsory visitor health questionnaire, prior to access to the food production area in order to assess your fitness to take part in the course.
You must disclose to us at the time of booking full details of any medical condition that may affect your ability, or the ability of any person(s) for whom you are booking a place(s), to take part in the relevant course. This will include details of any food intolerances, or allergies, that you, or any course attendees, suffer which we would need to be aware of.
All participants will be asked, on the day of the relevant course, to confirm that the details referred to in the previous paragraph are correct. It is the responsibility of each attendee to ensure on the day of the course that we have full and accurate details of any food intolerances and allergies they have. We are not be responsible for any adverse consequences that result from a failure to do so. We cannot guarantee a nut free environment.
Although we may be able accommodate your dietary tastes, intolerances or allergies for the refreshments provided for participants, we are unable to adapt the content of any of the lessons to suit these needs. Please ensure that your requirements have been adequately noted at the time of booking and are confirmed in your booking confirmation email.
We cannot guarantee that the course refreshments will not contain traces of any allergen/food item.
Participants are not permitted to bring substitute ingredients into the production area for use in the cooking lessons as this contravenes Food Safety Policy.
The equipment used in the cookery school kitchen, and the cooking techniques involved pose certain hazards. Please follow the instructor’s guidance on hygiene, handling of equipment and on any technical procedures very carefully. Most of the lesson will be spent standing (although there is seating available should you choose to rest). Please wear comfortable flat shoes ensuring toes are covered, and casual lightweight clothing. Aprons will be provided, but please remove any watches and jewellery. Long hair must be tied back.
What to Bring:
Everything that you will need for your cooking lesson will be provided: refreshments, ingredients, a recipe file, apron and packaging to take home the dishes you have made.
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your place, you may do so up to 7 days prior to the course date with a full refund. However, if you cancel less than 7 days prior to the lesson date, you will not be eligible for a refund unless your place can be filled by another person. It may be possible for you to transfer your booking to another lesson or date, subject to places being available.
Although highly unlikely, we do reserve the right to cancel a lesson due to circumstances beyond our control, in which case full refunds will be given.
We reserve the right to terminate the class for any participant, without reimbursement of fees, if the participant is found to be disruptive to other participants and/or the instructors, or is found to behave unlawfully in any way prior to or during the course. If you, or we, are forced to terminate your attendance during the course, your course fees will not be refunded to you.
