Capsicum & Coconut Fry Recipe from Saffron Tree

green peppers sautéed in mild spices and desiccated coconut


3 green peppers, diced into 1inch cubes 2 tbsp. oil
1 small onion, chopped
Quarter tsp ginger and garlic paste
Quarter tsp ground turmeric
Half tsp red chilli powder
Quarter tsp salt
1 tbsp. desiccated coconut
1 tbsp. fresh coriander, chopped


  • 1. Heat oil in a pan
  • 2. Add the onion and fry for a few seconds until translucent
  • 3. Add the ginger garlic paste and turmeric. Sauté for a min to cook
  • 4. Add the peppers, sauté on high heat for 8-10mins
  • 5. Add the chilli powder, salt and coconut. Sauté for 3-5 mins on medium heat
  • 6. Add coriander, cook for 30 seconds
